My family and I booked this place as a quick 4 day vacation. Once we arrived to the address provided, we realized this house is part of a motel complex. We were confused as to where to check in, and once we entered we had to wait 15 minutes at the front desk for someone to greet us and answer the phone. Once we got access to the place, we were told the door handle must be pulled upwards to open which complicated access every time we went to enter and leave. This is a hazard. Once we entered, the place looks tidy, but as you go to sit you realize the sofa and chairs are dirty, old and have multiple stains. Entering the kitchen, it had a bad smell. At this point as it had been a long 8 hour drive, and on a 95 degree day, the air conditioning would not go below 76 degrees. They called a man to service and he changed the air filter that looked like it had never been changed. On top of this, we found 2 live cockroaches next to the bed. We enjoyed our stay in the beach cottage. I would say it is more of a vintage beach cottage with lots of charm. Only one block from the beach. The beds were super comfortable and the renovations to the bathrooms were great. We wished that the kitchen had a few more items.
